1. What makes Perkins International Academy for Excellence unique?                                              

Perkins International Academy of Excellence is an independent private school rooted in the old American academic curriculum with advanced and continous upgrade in school education. Perkins International Academy of Excellence bring with it the deeply treasured values of community, tradition and purpose to the newly formed entity known as Perkins International Academy of Excellence. Our Program, faculty, facilities, and operational function, set us apart. We offer education during critical developmental times and co-educational opportunities when appropriate. We retain identities and traditions while sharing a set of values and a sense of purpose.

2. What are some highlights about Perkins International Academy of Excellence that I won’t find at other schools?

  • Lower School students will be involved in international academic learning, many public speaking opportunities and have technology integrated throughout the curriculum.
  • Lower School students take grade-level field trips and more.
  • Students in grades 3 have their own advisor with whom they meet several times each week for personalized guidance.
  • Our Lower School average class size is 15-20 and our student-to-teacher ratio is 7:1. Nearly 95 percent of our teachers hold degrees in the subjects they teach.
  • Public speaking opportunities are invaluable to our children as they enter a world of change, challenge and opportunity.


3. What are the advantages of mixed-education (Coeducational)?

A substantial body of scholarly research confirms the advantages of mixed-education. Boys and girls are more likely to succeed at school, more likely to take math and science courses, and more likely to continue their education than their peers in a single - gender educational setting. At a mixed-educational school, students can learn without social pressures. The result is a growth in competence that leads to greater self-esteem and an attitude that boys and girls can accomplish anything.


4. What is the Coordinate Program?

This unique program gives students the option of having educational experiences in arts, languages and computers, and in core courses for students in grade level. Students retain all the advantages of a school while experiencing coeducation and a broader range of courses and numerous electives. Girls and boys benefit from these opportunities while remaining active

Students also have the opportunity to participate in select extra-curricular activities such as dramatic productions and other social events. Students from Early Childhood on enjoy shared activities with their counterparts such as joint assemblies and field days."

5. How rigorous are your admissions standards?

At Perkins International Academy of Excellence, admissions standards are selective and depend on space availability. We are seeking students who will be successful in a preparatory program and for whom Perkins International Academy of Excellence is an overall good match.

6. Do we have to purchase books?

Yes, When you enroll, you will receive a list of required books along with a school form. Students will be provided with all needed material on a one time basis, after which they will be required to purchase it if lost. All text books provided will remain the property of the school and can only be used in school.

7. Do students wear uniforms?

Yes, all students wear uniforms except Daycare. Uniform guidelines and ordering information are distributed at the time of enrollment for Pre-K, Preschool, Lower School, Middle School and Upper School students.

8. Do you offer before and after school programs?

We offer an Early Bird program at no cost from 7:15-8 a.m. each morning. The After-School Program (for Pre-Kindergarten – Grade 3) begins each day at 2:45 p.m. and runs as late as 5:30 p.m. The After-School Program includes a snack, free-play, structured activities and enrichment activities. Families are charged only for the time a child is in attendance; the program can be used one day a year or every day.
