K-12 TEACHING POSITIONS
Teachers are responsible for the classroom with lessons and helping students as they transition through the day. The School seeks candidates with working experience in nursery, elementary or secondary school children and a deeper knowledge of child development. Ideally, candidates will be able to promote self-esteem and growth in students, help establish a positive classroom experience that encourages maximum success for learners, model responsible and professional conduct, and participate in the development of a classroom community of learners. Varied responsibilities include teaching assistance, class preparation and lesson planning, service learning, paperwork, photocopying, recess and lunch supervision. Each teacher will be responsible for a classroom.
Qualifications:
The School seeks applicants who have a strong academic background and a B.A., or B.Sc, experience in multicultural education and service learning, an understanding of young children, and a genuine interest in becoming an educator. Special consideration will be given to candidates who will be enrolled in a teacher training program.

Teachers are needed in all three divisions, K-12. In Lower School, substitute teachers are also needed who can teach core subject areas of language arts, math, science and social studies. In Middle and Upper School, substitutes are needed in the following subject areas: World Language (French and Spanish), math, English, social studies, science and fine/performing arts.
